An Option for Bone Loss After Tumour Resection-Pedicle Frozen Autograft Reconstruction of the Tibia Following Ewing’s Sarcoma

چکیده
Limb salvage surgery for bone tumours may vary from endoprosthesis to biological fixation. Endoprosthesis is good but expensive and durability short. Especially in physically active individuals like our patients. Orthopaedic surgeons scientists are still searching substitutes this purpose. We have performed liquid nitrogen-treated autograft as a filler patient with Ewing sarcoma of the right tibia. This treatment method has not been practised widely. reproducible. The recovered completely started weight bearing. A an alternative option patients sarcoma. Anyway, long-term follow-up studies mandatory prove its efficacy compared other modalities. procedure, outcome complications described case report.

Epiphyseal Sparing and Reconstruction by Frozen Bone Autograft after Malignant Bone Tumor Resection in Children.
Limb salvage surgery has become the standard treatment for malignant primary bone tumors in the extremities. Limb salvage represents a challenge in skeletally immature patients. Several treatment options are available for limb reconstruction after tumor resection in children. We report our results using the technique of epiphyseal sparing and reconstruction with frozen autograft bone in 18 chil...
متن کاملPasteurized autograft reconstruction after resection of periacetabular malignant bone tumours
BACKGROUND The treatment of periacetabular malignant bone tumours is challenging. Many methods of reconstruction after internal hemipelvectomy have been reported and each method has its own limitations. The aim of this study was to evaluate the oncological and functional outcomes of pasteurized autograft reconstruction after resection of periacetabular malignant bone tumours. METHODS Ten pati...
متن کاملReconstruction Using a Free Vascularized Fibular Graft after Frozen Autograft Reconstruction for Osteosarcoma of the Distal Tibia: A Case Report
Recently we have been performing biological reconstruction for malignant bone tumors of the extremities using frozen autografts. Here we present a case treated with free vascularized fibular graft (FVFG) after this method. A 23-year-old man developed osteosarcoma in his left distal tibia. There was nonunion after frozen autograft reconstruction, which we treated with FVFG. Twenty-four months la...
متن کاملPedicle versus free frozen autograft for reconstruction in malignant bone and soft tissue tumors of the lower extremities.
BACKGROUND Of the biological reconstruction methods for malignant bone and soft tissue tumors, reconstruction with liquid nitrogen has the advantage of maintaining continuity on the distal side of the tumor bone site (pedicle freezing procedure; PFP). This method is expected to result in early blood flow recovery, with early union and low complication rate. The purpose of this study was to comp...
متن کاملReconstruction With Ipsilateral Fibula Transfer With Pasteurized Bone After Excision of Bone Sarcoma of the Tibia
We report a technique of implantation of the ipsilateral vascularized fibula with pasteurized recycled bone after excision of tibia sarcoma in two cases. Plate and screws were used for osteosynthesis of the tibia or talus, vascularized fibula, and pasteurized bone. Microsurgery is not necessary for this reconstruction technique. Two patients who underwent this technique have obtained good funct...
